BIO
James Brabham (“JBrab”) is an American musician, DJ and producer
with a love for storytelling through music. He boasts a unique sound
honed from years of creative development and exposure to audio
composure. While his musical styling are everything current, his love
of music has been a constant from early childhood.
JBrab comes from humble beginnings from the small town of
Varnville, South Carolina (where Forrest Gump was filmed) and music
runs deep in his family. His grandparents were both musicians and
his family spent Sundays worshiping through music in the church.
When James’ father gave him his first drum set at the age of 5, his
natural talent started to shine. Along with the drums, James went on
to learn the keyboard and to play the saxophone in high school
marching band. His passion quickly turned to creating beats for
himself and his friends. With inspiration from Timbaland and
SwizzBeatz, James began to form his own
“rhythm” and individualized musical philosophy. Throughout high
school, he created and sold cassette tapes which showcased his
untapped potential.
While attending American Intercontinental University (AIU) in 2006,
JBrab was fortunate enough to meet country artist, Blanco Brown
who recognized his talent. This was the start of a friendship that
would shift his career. Shortly after, he was introduced to
other respected writers and producers like Jasper and Big Reese.
These relationships enabled him to work with R&B, Rap, Country artists such as
Lloyd, Mario, Big KRIT, Blanco Brown, ect. JBrab's ability to tell a story through music have
propelled him on an incredible path to industry success and he’s just
getting started.
Now, serving as the official DJ for country start BlancoBrown, and
production credits under his belt, JBrab stands out through his
unmatched versatility and ability to produce for any genre and
audience whether it's EDM, country, gospel, or R&B, and pop. He
continues to work with incredible artists to spread his musical
influence in the US and abroad.
